Celebrating 150 years of Auckland Grammar School in 2019. Per Angusta Ad Augusta.
Auckland Grammar School's 150th celebrations were a resounding success, with events ranging from Old Boys reunions, breakfasts, the annual Grammar vs King's College 1st XV fixture, four nights of performance evenings and culminating in the Grand Finale Celebration Dinner.
We had more than 2,000 registrations with Old Boys travelling from the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Germany, Israel, China, Hong Kong and from around New Zealand. Thre were some 27 events hosted over the eight days of celebrations with significant involvement from current students and staff, and the overall feedback has been extremely positive with this being a birthday to remember.
Photos from each of the events, as well as a full highlights video, will be posted on the School's website in the coming days. The 150th website will remain live, however there will be no more updates provided through it. If you wish to contact the School, please do us via the Our Community pages of the School website.
On behalf of the 150th Organising Committee, the Board and the Headmaster, we wish to say thank you to our guests, our volunteers, our sponsors and members of the wider Grammar community who joined together to make the School's sesquicentenary a resounding success.
